PIXI Early Bird Palette

This is pretty much an all in one palette for your face. After Christmas I went on the PIXI site as I was interested in trying out some of their eyeliners as I hear such good reviews about them. But then I came across this little number. Behind those beautifully designed closed doors are 4 shadow bases, 16 eyeshadows, 3 blushers, 2 bronzers and a highlighter. I thought wow that would be perfect for my weekday mornings where I'm up early and in a rush to go to work! So I picked it up for £16.

Above you can see the shadow bases and the eyeshadows themselves. There is a good range of colours here I'm not disappointed. I love the shadow bases and would actually wear them on their own sometimes. The majority of the eyeshadows are shimmery, there is one matte brown, for me this is where the palette is let down as I do like my matte shades. The pigmentation is good although can sometimes be a bit grainy.

The bronzers are both shimmery, not too much but it is noticeable. The highlight is beautiful it could probably be my favourite thing about the whole palette, it slides on so well and gives a perfectly radiant glow. As for the blushers, I've only just really started getting in to them and I do lie heavily faithful to my Benefit Harvana. I love the plum blusher and the pink one, but me and orange don't really go. the consistency and pigmentation of these are good and I do recommend them.

I'm glad I had this palette as it will be great to throw in my bag is I'm staying away for the night, it's got everything in it and it's so compact, for the price I really don't think I can complain, I think I will get a pair bit of use out of this product.

Have you tried any PIXI products?

Fake Benefit number 2

So this is following on from my blog post that I made last week. This is another fake product I got conned into due to the price.
This is Benefit's lemon aid eyelid primer, you can also use it as a normal concealer. I think this product has been discontinued also. But anywhere here's the low down!

Admittedly I was very convinced by the packaging but it's good, so who wouldn't be? After doing some research online I come to realise mine was a fake.

The product code is apparently on the wrong side of the box.

The consistency of the product- now I didn't think it was terrible but for something that is on the higher end of the scale I was expecting better results and it not being so hard to work with.

This isn't the best photo but there is no capital L for London and there is no space between the post code. Another give away for me was the fact that on the box with the ingredients list it said "Shea better" now I always thought it was shea butter! So yeah this made me totally convinced that this is a fake benefit product.

As I said in my last post I won't try and search for these deals on Ebay again. I'm a big lover of Ebay and this hasn't put me off the site but I think people need to be careful with what they buy on there, especially these fake products as you can't really guarantee what is actually in them! I have done these blog posts so others can see :)

Fake Benefit

It pains me to write this post, it really does. But I feel it's something that may help people in the future. A couple of days ago I went on Ebay and searched for Benefit products as I have also wanted to try items from this brand and wondered if I could get them any cheaper. I thought I was lucky in the fact I found some, I was wrong and this is why I'm posting this. When I bought these products it did run through my mind, with the price- are they fake? Well yes, they are. After reading about it I know they are and have emailed the sellers, but no replies. Here are the two products I bought and how they are spotted as fake.

Dallas

The box is wonky on the base, and doesn't fit together properly.

The colours are wrong, this is my box and I'll link the real deal below.

Complete give away as this is pink and not red.

You can't peel here.

This is the product inside, I actually thought it's quite a nice colour.

But it didn't transfer that well.

This just shows that you can't sneak out and buy an expensive brand for cheap. Yeah I like the colour of this product but I'm unsure of using it as can I trust what is really in it? I'm pretty sure that I don't want to risk it, the product is fake, the ingredients list can be fake also.
Along with this I always purchased Lemon Aid, so I will do a blogpost on this as well. I hope this may help some of you. Any questions please feel free to comment.
